Migraines: Your Safe Alternative to Medication

Headaches, Migraines, Headache, Migraine, Natural ReliefDid you know that 1 in 8 people experiences migraines? That makes safe and effective treatment an important topic. They have a high cost to the sufferer, and not just in terms of discomfort. Relationships may also suffer as well as the ability to work. Common treatment approaches deal with mitigating symptoms rather than providing an actual cure. Unfortunately, some of those treatments are actually perpetuating the issue.

What Is a Rebound Headache?

Also called a medication overuse headache, rebound headaches are caused by the very pain relievers used to treat them. This can occur when pain medication needs to be taken 3 or more times per week.

The cause of your migraines could be linked to a slip, fall, accident or injury in your past.  Is there something like that in your past that is significant enough that you still remember it today?  That may very well have caused the suffering you’re experiencing today.  To learn more about the connection between mild and severe head and neck injuries and migraines, download our complimentary e-book by clicking the image below:

Breaking Cycle of Migraines

Are you looking for a natural alternative to get rid of your migraines? One that won’t cause more head pain as a side effect? At Progressive Chiropractic, we use the NUCCA technique to attack migraines at their source… the neck.

Surprisingly to many, migraines are often caused by a misalignment of the upper neck bone in relation to the head. This is because the top bone (Atlas) is situated at the base of the skull where the brain comes out of the head and goes into the neck near the brainstem. Even a slight misalignment can place pressure on the brainstem and cause migraines, headaches and many other symptoms. When the head and neck are properly realigned, migraines are often reduced or eliminated as has been demonstrated in studies.
